Why do women stay?

I know everyone has been watching the Rhinna and Chris Brown story. I am a survivor of Domestic Violence, and the one of the many things that bothered me is. Why did i stay in this for so long? I know this is a subject that, most people do not care to talk about, because i have experience great persecution in regards to this very subject. But in order for light to be shed on darkness, it must be exposed. So many times as women we make excuses, Well she should have been married too him? that still do not answer the question of why stay so long and why the violence. Well what did she do to provoke such a thing? that still do not answer the question of why stay so long in it and why do a man feel like he has to beat a women? Why is she telling everybody? this still do not help our community, when we have families being torn apart due to violence. Domestic violence is a learned behavior,therefore if the issue is not addressed it will pass from one generation to another, So women lets talk about this. Why do women stay? Have you ever experience DV or do you have a friend that needs to come out and do not know how? Do you feel and need to offer support and encouragement to women of abuse, are do you feel like thats there business, let them do what they want to do? What do Jesus say about the oppressed and the wounded? Do you feel you are out of the will of God, when you refuse to stay in a relationship, when violence has occured.
